Geraci Siculo, PA
Geraci Siculo is a medieval village perched on a crag at about 1,000 metres in the Madonie. From the square you see the valleys and, in the distance, Etna.
Above the town stands the castle of the counts of Geraci, the Ventimiglia, once among the most powerful feudal lords in Sicily. The lanes have stone churches and terraced houses.
It is a quiet stop to combine with Castelbuono and Gangi on a day in the Madonie.
